Cloud Treat FAQs

Wondering how to use Cloud Treat? We've gathered the most common questions about our clinically tested sulfur serum. Here's everything you need to know.

What does Cloud Treat do?

Cloud Treat is a clinically tested sulfur + cica serum that helps reduce visible breakouts, congestion and redness while keeping skin calm, hydrated and comfortable. Think of it as a breakout treatment, served as a treat.

How often should I use Cloud Treat?

Cloud Treat is designed for daily use. Start with one application per day and increase frequency as tolerated. Always follow with SPF during the day.

Is Cloud Treat a spot treatment?

It’s a serum that you can use either as a targeted spot treatment or over larger breakout-prone areas such as the chin,
forehead or jawline.

Can I use Cloud Treat on a pimple that hasn't surfaced yet?

Yes. In fact, that's one of our favourite ways to use it. Apply Cloud Treat when you feel a breakout brewing beneath the skin, not just once it's already visible.

How long does it take to see results?

In a clinical study, 68.2% of participants showed visible improvement after just 1 hour. After 28 days, 95.5% showed improvement in visible blemishes and 90.9% showed improvement in blemish redness.*

Can I use Cloud Treat if I have sensitive skin?

Yes. Cloud Treat was specifically developed for breakout-prone and sensitive skin. In a clinical study, 100% of participants said the formula was well tolerated.*

Can I use Cloud Treat if I have rosacea?

Cloud Treat was developed for sensitive skin and contains calming ingredients such as centella, hyaluronic acid and squalane. That said, rosacea can be highly individual, so we always recommend patch testing first and checking with your dermatologist if you're unsure.

Can I use Cloud Treat if I have perioral dermatitis?

Perioral dermatitis can be highly individual. While Cloud Treat is fragrance-free and developed for sensitive skin, it contains active ingredients such as sulfur and salicylic acid that may not be suitable for everyone experiencing an active flare.

We recommend consulting your dermatologist and patch testing first.

What age is Cloud Treat suitable for?

Cloud Treat is suitable for teens and adults experiencing breakouts, congestion or blemish-prone skin.

Will Cloud Treat dry out my skin?

Unlike many traditional sulfur treatments, Cloud Treat was specifically formulated to be non-drying. That's why we've paired 5% sulfur with soothing centella, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and softening squalane and mango seed butter.

Can sulfur cause purging?

Sulfur itself isn't typically associated with purging. However, Cloud Treat also contains 0.5% salicylic acid, so some people may experience a short adjustment period when first introducing the product.

In a clinical study, 100% of participants said the formula was well tolerated.*

As always, every skin is unique.

Can I use Cloud Treat with Cloud Milk?

Absolutely. Cloud Treat helps tackle active breakouts, while Cloud Milk helps support calmer skin and minimize redness. They make a great pair for breakout and redness-prone skin.

Can I use Cloud Treat with Cloud Water?

Absolutely. They are a duo made in acne heaven.

Cloud Water helps keep pores clear and future breakouts in check, while Cloud Treat tackles the ones that have already decided to show up.

Together, they help support clearer, calmer skin without the dryness and irritation often associated with traditional acne routines.

Apply Cloud Water after cleansing, allow it to absorb, then follow with Cloud Treat.

Can I use Cloud Treat with Cloud Patch?

Absolutely. Apply Cloud Treat, wait around 10 minutes for it to absorb, then apply a Cloud Patch on top. Think of it as a little overnight rescue mission for stubborn breakouts.

Can I use Cloud Treat with active ingredients like retinol or exfoliants?

Cloud Treat is a team player and works well with most skincare ingredients. It was also specifically designed to pair beautifully with some of our bestselling problem-solvers: Cloud Water, Cloud Milk and Cloud Patch.

If you're using stronger actives such as retinoids or exfoliating acids, we recommend introducing combinations gradually and adjusting based on your skin's needs.

Can I use Cloud Treat alongside prescription acne treatments?

Cloud Treat can generally be used alongside prescription acne treatments. Because some prescription treatments may make skin more sensitive, we recommend introducing new products gradually and adjusting frequency based on your skin's needs.

If you're unsure, always consult your dermatologist.

Does Cloud Treat smell like sulfur?

Yes, but only a little (not like rotten eggs!). We like to call it a magic spell with a smell. Inspired by sulfur-rich Japanese onsen waters, the scent is closer to a therapeutic hot spring than a traditional sulfur treatment. Sulfur naturally has a distinctive smell, but our R&D team worked hard to make it as pleasant as possible.

As always, we’ve chosen to prioritise performance and skin kindness over masking it with heavy fragrance.

Can Cloud Treat stain silver jewellery?

Sulfur can occasionally react with silver, so we recommend removing silver jewellery before applying Cloud Treat, just to be safe.
