What does Cloud Barrier do?
Cloud Barrier is a deeply hydrating, soothing, and barrier-repairing moisturiser. It strengthens the skin’s protective layer with ceramides, lipids, and ectoin, helping dry or stressed skin recover. Cloud Barrier is ideal for dry, sensitive, or skin compromised from acne medication, over-exfoliation, or harsh weather (hello Swedish winter!).
What does ceramides do in skincare?
Ceramides are lipids that make up the “mortar” of your skin barrier. In Cloud Barrier, they work with cholesterol and fatty acids to rebuild the barrier, lock in moisture, and make the skin stronger and less sensitive.
Is Cloud Barrier good for dry, sensitive skin?
Yes! Cloud Barrier was made for dry, sensitive, and stressed-out skin. With ceramides, ectoin, and soothing botanicals, it brings instant (cloud soft) comfort, relieves tightness, and keeps your skin hydrated and happy all day.
Is Cloud Barrier good for redness-prone, sensitive skin?
Yes! Cloud Barrier is ideal for redness-prone, sensitive skin. The formula combines soothing ingredients like centella, panthenol, oat, and fermented heartleaf to calm irritation and visibly dial redness, while ceramides and ectoin strengthen the skin barrier over time to make it less reactive. The rosacea girl on the team loves it!
Is Cloud Barrier good on acne-prone skin?
Yes! A strong skin barrier locks in moisture and keeps out acne-causing bacteria and irritants, making skin less prone to breakouts. While Cloud Barrier doesn’t contain classic acne-targeting actives like salicylic acid, sulfur, niacinamide, or retinoids, it helps soothe irritation, reduce redness, and repair barrier damage often caused by acne or acne treatments. However, if your skin is on the oilier side, we recommend Cloud Jelly or Moon Balm.
I take acne medication. Can I use Cloud Barrier?
Yes! Our community has long asked for a barrier-focused moisturiser that compensates for dryness from common acne prescription creams or medications. Cloud Barrier helps minimise moisture loss and supports your skin’s recovery and is made without actives like retinol or salicylic acid, which are best avoided when using acne treatments.
Is Cloud Barrier good for oily skin?
Cloud Barrier can absolutely work for oily skin that’s feeling dry, tight, or irritated, but it’s best suited for sensitive or compromised skin rather than very oily types. If you are very oily, we recommend Cloud Jelly, which is formulated without any oil.
Is Cloud Barrier non-comedogenic?
Cloud Barrier is formulated to be non-comedogenic and not clog your pores, but since every skin is unique and has its unique triggers, we always recommend patch testing if you easily clog up. If you prefer an oil-free moisturiser, we recommend Cloud Jelly.
When do I use Cloud Barrier?
Apply Cloud Barrier as the last step of your skincare routine. Either use it alone as a moisturiser, or layer over lighter creams to seal them in. We also love to layer Cloud Barrier thick as a repairing night mask.
Can I use Cloud Barrier under makeup?
Yes! We couldn’t find a barrier cream that was light enough for daytime and stayed smooth under makeup—so we made one. We’ve tested Cloud Barrier over Cloud Screen and under every foundation in our team’s stash, and it never pills or rolls.
Can I use Cloud Barrier as an overnight mask?
Definitely. Apply a thick layer in the evening for an intensive overnight barrier-repair treatment. You’ll wake up with softer, calmer, and deeply hydrated skin.
Does Cloud Barrier have any fragrance?
Nope! We never add perfume, essential oils or fragrance. You might catch a faint, natural whiff from the barrier-building ceramide and lipid complex, but it’s only a cosy smell ;)

CLOUD BARRIER – Our richest, most barrier-repairing moisturiser. It’s ideal for dry, sensitive, or skin compromised from acne medication, over-exfoliation, or harsh weather.
They’re great on their own or together. We love layering Cloud Jelly or Moon Balm under Cloud Barrier to lock in all the juicy hydration and strengthen the skin barrier.
